Health
Care, equipment and support when it matters most

The EIGHT Foundation was founded in 2017 by Ian Riggs, CEO of EIGHT Financial Advice, from a belief that a successful business should give something meaningful back to its community.
Thanks to the support of EIGHT’s clients, colleagues and friends, we’ve helped fund specialist equipment for seriously ill and disabled children, neonatal care, mental health and wellbeing projects, autism programmes and practical help for families going through a tough time.
Our trustees read every application with care. We look for where a grant can make a real, visible difference, especially for smaller causes without the reach of the big national charities.

We award grants, usually up to £5,000, to charities and individuals supporting health, education or financial hardship across Hampshire and nearby counties. Check our eligibility criteria and grant-making policy, and tell us about your cause.
You'd love to help, but what do you actually do? Victoria our foundation manager shares the many ways you can get involved.
01
Come along to a golf day, quiz night or comedy evening, and have a great time for a good cause.
02
Give directly, or take on a challenge and raise money your own way. EIGHT matches every pound donated.
03
Tell friends, family and colleagues about the Foundation, so more local people and causes can find us.
Through EIGHT’s partnership with Southampton Football Club, the EIGHT Foundation and Saints Foundation will work together to find local projects we can support, with a special focus on children, young people and families who need a helping hand.
As this work develops, we will share the projects, people and stories created through the partnership, showing how two charitable organisations can combine their local knowledge and support to make a meaningful difference.
Our trustees give their time to guide the Foundation, read every application and make sure each grant does what it set out to do. Between them, they bring local knowledge, experience and a shared belief in making every pound count.

Founder and Chair of Trustees
Ian founded the EIGHT Foundation in 2017, alongside his role as CEO of EIGHT. He chairs our quarterly trustee meetings, hosts our fundraising events and makes sure every pound donated is matched by EIGHT. Giving back was part of Ian's life long before the Foundation, through The Elizabeth Foundation and the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation.

Foundation Manager
Victoria runs the Foundation day to day, from grant applications and events to getting to know the people and causes we support. Before joining in 2018, Victoria spent more than a decade as an NHS nurse, and that experience shapes how we approach the health causes we fund.

Trustee
The EIGHT Foundation is close to Stuart's heart. Long before becoming a trustee, he was the first to volunteer at events, sign up for the more ambitious challenges and do whatever it took to raise funds. Now he's helping the Foundation grow, so it can reach more local people and causes.

Trustee
Nick brings fresh energy and enthusiasm to our board of trustees. He shares our belief that a little local support can go a long way, and he's helping shape where the Foundation goes next, from reviewing grant applications to finding new ways to bring people together for a good cause.
Whether you’d like to apply for a grant, support our work, organise a fundraiser or tell us about a local cause, we’d love to hear from you.
Complete the form and a member of the EIGHT Foundation team will get back to you as soon as possible.
